You are the temple.

You don’t need a physical temple.

What you truly need is a body—and fortunately, everyone already has one.

Temples were originally built as sacred spaces to remind us of the divine, but often we walk through their grand doors seeking some higher truth outside ourselves, forgetting that we carry an entire temple within us wherever we go.

The ‘deha’, or body, is itself the ‘devalaya’, the temple of the divine presence.

In classical Sanskrit philosophy, the body is revered as the very dwelling place of the Self - “Deho devalayah proktah, jivo devaḥ sanatanah,” which translates to “The body is the temple, and the indwelling soul is the eternal deity.”

This reminds us that the body is not something broken to fix, a burden to escape, or a problem to manage. Rather, it is the sacred space within us—the living sanctuary of awareness, wisdom, breath, and vibrant aliveness.

You don’t need to seek out distant holy places; the true sanctuary lies within.

You simply need to come home and return deeply to yourself.
